Is it really free?

Yes. The whole plan, every letter, and all the guides are free, forever. No card at signup. No trial. No paywall halfway through. Most people finish their 90 days without spending anything. Premium is optional — and it covers our running costs.

What's in Premium?

Premium adds institution-specific Actions (bank notifications, Tell Us Once, utility accounts, pension contacts — each with your explicit approval before anything sends), an AI Assistant that knows your case and remembers what you've already told Passage, a Document Vault for uploading documents once and reusing them with your consent, family sharing for up to 4 people, memorial pages with a custom domain, introductions to regulated solicitors and FCA-authorised independent financial advisers, and the IHT calculator. £49 one-off. No subscription.

Will Passage send anything without me?

Accepted Answer

Never. Passage prepares and drafts — letters, notifications, emails, submissions. But nothing is sent, submitted, or shared until you have read it and given explicit approval. You are in control of every communication, every time.

What does Passage remember?

Accepted Answer

Passage keeps a record of your case: the deceased's details, the institutions you need to contact, which tasks are done, which letters have been approved, and what each organisation has said in response. Your private check-in entries are stored separately and are never shared or used to inform other Passage features unless you opt in.

Question 5

Will you sell my data or use it to train AI?

Accepted Answer

No. We don't sell data and we don't train AI on your case. Your details, the deceased's details, your letters, your check-ins — all yours. Stored on UK servers, deletable on request.

Question 6

Is hardship pricing available for Premium?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Email hello@getpassage.co.uk with a sentence about your situation; we'll comp Premium for as long as you need it. No forms, no means-test.

What stops you walling off the free plan later?

Accepted Answer

Two things. Principled: we've written into our terms that anything free as of April 2026 stays free for the lifetime of every account created before any change. Practical: Premium pays for itself.
