Passage is a digital bereavement support tool designed to help people in the United Kingdom navigate the practical tasks and administrative processes that follow a death. The Service provides:

  • Emotional check-in and support resources

Passage does not provide legal, financial, tax, or medical advice. The information provided through the Service is for general informational purposes only and should not be relied upon as professional advice.

Passage does not provide probate services or reserved legal activities as defined by the Legal Services Act 2007. Passage does not prepare probate applications, Inheritance Tax forms, or any documents for submission to the Probate Registry, HM Courts & Tribunals Service, or HMRC. Where the Service provides information about probate, estate administration, or Inheritance Tax, this is general educational information only.

AI-Generated Content

Parts of the Service use artificial intelligence to generate guidance, responses, and draft messages. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may contain errors or inaccuracies. Always review and verify any AI-generated content before using it, especially for important communications or decisions.

4. User Accounts

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information when creating your account
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
  • Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
  • Be at least 18 years old to create an account

We strive to provide reliable access to the Service, but we do not guarantee that the Service will be available at all times or without interruption. We may:

  • Modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time
  • Perform maintenance that may temporarily make the Service unavailable

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PASSAGE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.

This includes damages resulting from:

  • Your use of or inability to use the Service
  • Any errors or inaccuracies in the Service's content
  • Any unauthorized access to or use of your account
  • Any interruption or cessation of the Service
  • Any decisions made based on information provided by the Service

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Passage, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any rights of another person or entity

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
