Last updated: 4 April 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Passage ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.
These Terms apply to all users of the Service, including visitors, registered users, and any other users of the Service.
2. Description of Service
Passage is a digital bereavement support tool designed to help people in the United Kingdom navigate the practical tasks and administrative processes that follow a death. The Service provides:
- Personalized task checklists based on your specific situation
- AI-powered guidance for completing bereavement-related tasks
- Tools for drafting letters and messages to organizations
- Emotional check-in and support resources
- Information about UK bereavement processes and procedures
3. Important Disclaimers
Not Legal or Financial Advice
Passage does not provide legal, financial, tax, or medical advice. The information provided through the Service is for general informational purposes only and should not be relied upon as professional advice.
Passage does not provide probate services or reserved legal activities as defined by the Legal Services Act 2007. Passage does not prepare probate applications, Inheritance Tax forms, or any documents for submission to the Probate Registry, HM Courts & Tribunals Service, or HMRC. Where the Service provides information about probate, estate administration, or Inheritance Tax, this is general educational information only.
You should consult with qualified professionals (solicitors, probate specialists, financial advisors, accountants) for advice specific to your situation. The Law Society's Find a Solicitor service at solicitors.lawsociety.org.uk can help you find a probate specialist near you.
Not Mental Health Treatment
While Passage provides emotional check-ins and supportive resources, it is not a substitute for professional mental health care or grief counseling. If you are experiencing severe distress, please contact a mental health professional or organization such as:
- Cruse Bereavement Support: 0808 808 1677
- Samaritans: 116 123 (24/7)
- Your GP or local mental health services
